Psychomotor in psychotherapy intervention program: Directed Creative Expression

Art piece expressed during the first intervention session by a 14 year old who has been diagnosed by the psychiatrist as suffering from psychotic depression with learning disorder.

Second piece of expression by the same child during the first intervention session.

Self directed expression completed in 30 minutes by the same child during the second intervention session one week later. Chriss applied psychomotor elements via the creative process and managed to stimulate the child's other sensory motors.

Community work - Directed Creative Expression for youth club

Chriss was requested to conduct a special workshop for this group of teenagers with emotional and behaviour problems. They are teenagers with special needs like ADHD, Learning Disorder, Mild Autistic and Childhood Trauma. While working with these youth, she also identified that some children are suffering from adolescent problems. The major adolescent issues are communication with others and their parents whereby children with special needs are seriously lacking of social skills.

Directed Creative Expression on Grief and Loss

A group of youth and their parents amounting 30 in total participants expressed their feelings on cut out heart shapes and later shared their expression in a group setting with the presence of the psychology consultant, Chriss Ng. This session was specially created for this group of teenagers with behaviour and communication problems. Through a directed creative process, Chriss was able to transform their loss into positive energy and reconnected the bond with their parents in one session. In this workshop, there was a lot of healing among the family members.
